Billy D and a Hoodoo

Billy D & the Hoodoos’ SOMETHIN’S WRONG has charted at #10 on The Billboard Blues Album charts and also ranked on Living Blues twice. The title track, “Somethin’s Wrong,” was named the winner in the blues category of the UK Songwriting Contest in London. Twelve videos from the album have recently surpassed the two-million-hit milestone on YouTube! The band was also awarded “Best New Act” by the Cascade Blues Association in the blues-rock bastion, Portland, Oregon. Their latest offering, “Overnight Success,” is already meeting with the same accolades & success. Growing up on the Southside of Chicago (aka The Home of The Blues) and seeing and playing with several legendary Giants of the Genre in his youth, Billy’s life experience has given him that “College of Musical Knowledge” insight to write his brand of “Bluesy Rock” with a passion that only comes from living it. The songs range from tender, heartfelt ballads to risque, irreverent rockers. Heavily influenced by Classic Blues, Rock & Roll, and “Roots” music of all types, his songs reflect the personal lessons, the triumphs and defeats, and the joys and sorrows we all encounter while on this grand journey known as life.
