Conjunto Alegre

Conjunto Alegre means Happy Band, created by Aquiles Montas in September of 1987 after parting away from his previous band Ritmo Tropical he started with his friend Pedro Beltran in January of 1984 to introduce Caribbean Music Merengue and Salsa to Portland Oregon since people assumed that all Latin American music was mariachi.  Aquiles brought vocalist Manuela Figueroa,  Roberto Cruz and percussionist Amador Marcano, and recruited local new talent musicians from Mt Hood Community College  music program. Ron Green, Dave Chambers, Ed Buckley, Mark Shervin, Quincy Jones.

Standing room only show. No seats available. Strobe lights, lighting effects, and theatrical fog may be in use in Muze Lounge during musical concerts.  If you have health or physical problems that could be affected by strobe lighting, lighting effects, of theatrical fog, including but not limited to photosensitive epilepsy, asthma or breathing problems, you should not enter the Muze Lounge.
